Are TermBreaks dates the official DepEd school holidays?
Yes for public basic education. Dates follow DepEd orders (including Order No. 012, s. 2025 for SY 2025–2026 and Order No. 009, s. 2026 for the three-term SY 2026–2027 calendar). Every page cites sources and a last-verified date. Class suspensions for weather or local events can still shift plans.
Where can I verify Philippines school holiday dates?
Check official DepEd issuances at https://www.deped.gov.ph/ (including DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026 and related annexes). TermBreaks links sources and last-verified dates on every calendar page and on the methodology page.
Do private schools in the Philippines follow the same calendar?
Not necessarily. Private schools, Philippine Schools Overseas, and SUCs/LUCs may adopt the DepEd three-term calendar but can set different opening and break dates within legal class-day limits. Confirm with your school.
What changed in the DepEd three-term school calendar?
Starting SY 2026–2027, public basic education shifted from a four-quarter calendar to three terms with opening, instructional and end-of-term blocks (DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026). SY 2026–2027 opens 8 June 2026 and ends 8 April 2027 (201 class days).
